It was touch and go as we were last man in. I thought we weren't going to get in, but they are the chances you take. I had him entered for Roscommon on Monday if we didn't (get in). He's a nice horse. It wasn't ideal making the running. Jack said he was very idle in front and he would be way better with a lead, but he showed a good attitude and you would be very happy. My horses were just arse-ways for six to 12 months, but hopefully have turned the corner now. I don't know what it was, but they just weren't finishing their races although some weren't any good. We had to clean out the whole place, changed water pots - did everything possible. Franciscan Rock had some good form and there were no slouches for today's four-horse race - any of the four could have won. He is qualified for the Pertemps (at Cheltenham), but a lot of water has to flow under the bridge first. I'll give him a break now.

Knowing the breed and how genuine the horse is, making the running helps him. If you were going to the sales, you would pick him out as he is a model of a horse and is lovely. We’re very lucky to have him, Harry has four for me at the moment and we have some nice young horses coming along as well. People are always telling me you’ll never have another one like ‘Limestone’ but this fella is coming there and he will make some chaser. Plans are up in the air at the moment and these days are hard to come by so we’ll enjoy it. you couldn’t have written the script and it’s brilliant for Michael and John (Bowe). I’m just so delighted to have a horse like him and we think he’ll be a really good chaser next year. He won his maiden here when ridden the same way and wasn’t for passing that day either. Brian gave him a great ride today, he went a good honest gallop and his jumping was class. He was really good and aggressive on him. We’ll see how he is in the morning and make plans with him then. That level is perfect for him but you’d be hoping he might step up over fences and there is an old saying that a good-ish horse will go on any ground and he probably fits that bill. He has that touch of class so ground doesn’t really matter at times. Thanks to the two lads, they are supporting me really well. I’m delighted to win it.

he did it very nicely and Rachael was brilliant on him. I thought he was struggling turning in and then he picked up really well - I'd say he quickened after the second-last. I'm delighted for the Achesons especially Rob (son) who was very persuasive about buying him. Some members of the team didn't want him but Rob put his foot down, so fair play to him. You need to stay running around here and we'll pencil in the Albert Bartlett (at Cheltenham). He could run at Clonmel in a graded hurdle in February in the race which Monalee won for us (in 2017) and Minella Indo finished second to Allaho (in 2019).

We were disappointed in him the last day, but I'd say just two miles was too short and a lot of ours just needed the run at that stage. I was probably trying to be clever splitting them all up in Down Royal. I was nervous of running him back so quick but, in fairness, it was the right decision. He was tough. In fairness to him, he was a different horse there today. You could see the way he was travelling with his head down, he was happy. In Down Royal, his head was in the air and he never jumped. He had good bumper form last year and probably tapered off a bit at the end of the year, but that was back to more like it today. I'd say that's it (his trip) and he could go further as well. Maybe straight to Naas because he's after having two quick runs. Like most of those Gigginstown horses, he was bought to be a big chaser. at Fairyhouse last April, something happened him at the second hurdle where he was pulled up. It appeared he was injured and a screen went up around him, but thankfully he was ok although he became a bit frightened. The ground was too good for him at Listowel the last day and I was delighted to see the dig in the ground today. He has some toe on soft ground which he doesn’t have on good. We’ll keep him over hurdles for now but he’ll jump a fence in time. Sean (O’Keeffe) is riding well and is a good jockey.

Largy Hill did everything right and that was a good effort. You could see his jumping was that of an ex-point-to-pointer, compared to Stoke The Fire (stablemate, finished third) who was novicey and What Path (fourth) jumped a bit left. I was very happy with Stoke The Fire and that will bring him on hugely. . The winner is a big chasing type and it is nice to win a prize like this. I doubt he'll go to Cheltenham and will wait until Fairyhouse instead.

He is a grand horse and Pat (Morrissey, owner/breeder) sold his two half-brothers, one of which Twinjets won a chase by 10 lengths for Paul Nicholls the other day. Pat wanted to hang on to this horse and chasing is his game, as you see by the size of him,. We thought he wasn't right in Listowel when the ground was too quick for him, so we were confident we'd reverse form with That Danny Feeling. We knew he'd go on the heavy ground as we ran him on pure muck in a schooling bumper one day in Tipperary. . We think going up to three miles will suit, he is a nice horse and Pat wants to keep him, which is handier. He is in a long time but we will keep him going now, having won a maiden hurdle. He has been schooled over fences as a three-year-old and is brilliant to jump. He'll tip away over hurdles this season.

He is a lovely horse and we had this race in mind since he won the qualifier here last November. He had a lot of weight on his back but is a very big horse and still did it,. He a gentle giant and being a five-year-old, he could go chasing next year but I don't know yet. . He slightly struggled on heavy ground but loves that good ground and jumped really well. We have one (Punchestown winner) on the board which is great, as I don't have that many national hunt horses now.

It was a very good introduction, I didn’t expect that. I was hoping he was alright, but he’s more than alright looking at that performance. Paul thought he was very brave too as he got blinded at one or two hurdles. He lost his confidence for one or two, but got it back. He took them on and he loves jumping. I would have said coming here there was huge improvement in him, and I hope there is. He’s probably good enough to go wherever we wanted.
