The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident early in the home straight involving Sky Captain, ridden by D
Browne McMonagle, and Game Point, ridden by N.M. Crosse where it appeared Game Point had to check
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. N M Crosse stated that his mount was hanging badly left and wasn't getting much of a run when Sky Captain raced by him. He further added that he suffered interference from the horse in front of him and on his outside. D Brown McMonagle stated that he was full of running and when he had committed to a gap in front of him it closed which resulted in him switching to the left. He further added that he was clear of Game Point before straightening up. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards that at entry have run three or more times under any Rules of Racing, at least one of those runs having been over a distance of nine furlongs or more on or after 1st September, 2025 (100 = 10st) Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
