Punchestown Tue, 23rd May, 2023  Hanoi Jane She had some good runs and last time in Ballinrobe (third) he maybe should have let her roll on a sharper track. She’ll win another one. She jumps well, stays well and might win a little novice chase. The O’Reilly’s (Peter and Rose) also bred her and it’s great for them that she has won here. She’ll keep going for the summer. I must say Punchestown have done an absolutely terrific job with the ground. We have had no rain for a week and it's beautiful ground.

Punchestown Thu, 27th Apr, 2023  Kilbeg King we’ve been very lucky here. We brought him here nice and early, got here on Monday. We weren’t sure if he was good enough but we felt that he’d run his race. Aidan gave him an absolute peach. He had to scrap a bit to get him out and once he got out he cut loose. We had quite a hard race at Newbury when finishing second and we thought we’d wait then until Punchestown. We love coming here and it’s a 0-145. It’s worked out well. We got him fresh and they have been very good to us here and we had a few canters on the course. It does horses good after a long season. I think the better ground was probably a help as well although he’s a heavy topped horse and it wouldn’t want to be any quicker than this.

Kilbeggan Fri, 21st Apr, 2023  Presenting Doyen She had a few nice runs. She's ground dependent, she likes good ground,. I thought Denis gave her a very good ride, it was a tactical enough race. We fancied her if she got in as the good ground and the trip suited her. We bring a lot of horses over to Britain and she'll probably go at some stage.

Wexford Sun, 5th Mar, 2023  Doyen Ta Win she is hard work, all you can do is sit there and try to fill her up. She is so quick over her hurdles and you can feel her having a look before them. She thinks about it before getting to them. She goes as hard as she can for as long as she can, but I was confident we'd get home. I was just making sure I had enough left to do it. She travelled better and felt better on this ground. I had been giving out because she was supposed to run in the race prior to this one and had 11st9lb in that and only had 10st in this. That isn't easy for me to do but it was worth it!

Naas Sun, 29th Jan, 2023  Doyen Ta Win I was confident I held on and I would have been disappointed if I didn't. The loose horse (Insane Bolt) definitely helped late-on but to be fair to her, she doesn't idle. She goes as hard as she can for as long as she can and wears her heart on her sleeve. She's not the easiest to manage but the one thing she does is jump. She deserved it. I was a bit worried that Naas wouldn't be the ideal front running track but to be fair she was sweet and Dec (Queally junior, assistant trainer) said she was in great form. She probably improved from her Limerick win, which was nice to get because I probably should have won on her in Wexford the first day. It makes up now getting two on her and she's a mare that you need to know. That was good after doing a low weight (10st).

Naas Sun, 29th Jan, 2023  Aarons Day a couple of years ago he was left at the start here over hurdles and almost won, but went backwards after that. He's difficult to handle and can blow a fuse very quickly. He's big and powerful so it's not simple and today we got him around the parade ring once, got the jockey on and luckily it didn't take too much out of him - it often does before the race. we're delighted and it was a great ride by Phillip. He was keeping better company, maybe too good, but it taught him how to race. He liked the ground and the track. We were hoping he'd do that but we were hoping before that he'd do different things. Hopefully he's developing and getting better now. He was better today than any day. I have no plans, he'll probably stay at the likes of that and will stay further in time.
