Wexford Tue, 17th Mar, 2026  Catchabird She's been knocking on the door in handicaps and she just couldn't get her day. We played around in trip a bit, but I think the two miles is her trip. We probably made a bit too much use of her before and we said we'd take our time today and see if she'd come home and she did. She got a very good ride from Aidan. She was getting the 8lb from the bumper winners today and we thought she was entitled to win. She was race fit and had been running all winter. She is a home bred and is a full-sister to Getabird, so it was important to get a win with her. She'll keep tipping away once the ground is on the slow side, she wouldn't handle any quick ground. She's in at Navan on Saturday and might turn up there with a penalty. That's my second winner of the season and I had my first one last year. I've only the two in training at the moment and they've both won now.

Leopardstown Tue, 3rd Mar, 2026  Ealu She’s a lovely mare. I’d say she would have won the first day at Boulta,. In fairness Pius (Collins, owner) was offered a good bit of money and he said he’d keep her. She’s always been very nice. She’ll go for a black-type bumper, she’ll probably go to Aintree. I’d say she’ll even be better on a bit better ground. She’s a nice mare to look forward to. Derek was very impressed with her, she’s a lovely filly. She’s always shown that, she showed it all last year as well.

Leopardstown Sun, 1st Feb, 2026  Backmersackme That was great. Sean said he was a bit flat to the boards early doors and he let him find his rhythm jumping and he was able to sneak into it at the third last. It was pretty clear sailing from there. He’s improved. I was saying to Sean beforehand that there was a handicap hurdle in Navan last year, the Proudstown, and the winner was Mark Fahey’s horse (Flicker Of Hope) who is going for the Irish National. We were second and Oscar’s Brother was third, so we were the only horse that hadn’t gone and done something over fences yet. That was strong form and it’s all come together now. I suppose over the trip the slower ground helped, definitely. I think ground-wise he’s fairly versatile. He had a tongue-tie on today as well so that probably helped with the slower ground. The plan was the National Hunt Chase over 3m5f at Cheltenham. He was 125 today and that’s 145 so that should be still on the cards. He’ll have a bit more weight now but we’ve a great pot behind us so we can’t complain.

Cork Sun, 7th Dec, 2025  Good Girl Kathleen We talked beforehand about going around the inside and I told Donagh that if it wasn't working at halfway, to change tactics, so he had free rein,. Obviously, the bends are well cut up but definitely in the straights there is a nice patch of fresh ground on the inside so we felt there was potentially an angle. It was always going to be risky but he said he was happy and confident all the way. It is great that it worked out. She is going the right way, Donagh was very confident coming and she is a mare on the up. She has a great pedigree, doesn't lack a gear either and could come back in trip.

Fairyhouse Fri, 21st Nov, 2025  On Your Way He’s a very difficult ride and it’s very hard to settle him. He jumped him out stone last. . Anthony rides him at home every day and knows him well. . Heavy ground is the secret to him. . He had a run over fences at Cork last season so we can go that route with him as well.
