Atlantic Shore He should have some sort of future over fences. I was happy with his run in Limerick and the conditions of the race today, for horses that hadn't won over hurdles, were right up his alley. Let's hope he can stay progressing. I'd say he will go into handicap company now. He didn't mind the ground today because he is a bit sluggish. He gallops, he stays and he jumps. We got him on a good day today because some days he can be a bit moody. We had a four-year-old winner at Dromahane too. A horse by Mahler who had one run in the spring and was fourth. We were probably going to run him a few weeks later but then the lockdown happened. He is a horse with a bright future and I think he will go to the sales if they take place.

Trickey Trix That's three times we've ridden her like that and she seems to enjoy herself in front and is game out. Danny said she keeps finding and finding. She can be a little bit tricky and stood at the start on her only chase run but is honest and will go back chasing at some stage. We'll look for something similar next. She is owned by Pat Macken, a retired butcher from Dunboyne.

The Diary Keeper She won a bumper in Killarney a few years ago and it took her a while to get the knack of hurdling and to relax. She relaxed and hurdled today and it gave her a chance. She previously had leg trouble but has her bumper and hurdle won now so will make a broodmare in time. She's not finished racing yet and she is in again at Thurles on Thursday; she is very ground dependent and won't go on soft ground so we'll see how she is. That's Gavin's first winner for me.

Brace Yourself He promised to be a good horse one time and hopefully he'll get back there,. He had a little bit of an issue with a hind leg which held him up. Last season was a bit of a non event as nothing went right for him. He seemed to like that goodish ground, he's a Mahler and a lot of them do. Two-and-a-half miles is his minimum. We jumped when he needed him, when he sent him down he jumped, so that was good.

Memory Tree He was the highest rated in the race so I'll have to agree with the handicapper now as I wasn't happy with him a couple of runs ago,. I think the flat track suited him and he jumped great. He probably didn't handle Tramore looking back at it but it is a local track and I tend to go there. If there was a rated novice he would run in one. I don't think he'd compete in handicaps. He could also be sold so we'll see.

Trickey Trix For some unknown reason the last twice she was a bit hesitant at jumping off. We just said we would change tactics today and maybe get her away in front. Conor (Maxwell) said she kept going and enjoyed herself in front. He said she kept finding and finding for him — I’ll give her that, she’s game. I was just disappointed with her a couple of times, maybe she was in season. I’m delighted she is off the mark for her owner (Patrick Macken)who has a couple of horses with us. We’ll see what the handicapper does, but we’ll keep her going for another while once the conditions suit.

Trees Valley She is better in front. I didn't get much time to talk to Donagh the last day. I kind of wanted him to make it on Friday but he felt they were going fast enough. He just didn't know her then really. She jumps better in front and even at home she is way happier in front,. The last day she was leaning a bit in behind but when she is in front she is way happier. She was way more impressive there. Hopefully she will improve away. I still thought the two miles today might have been a bit too sharp for her. She'll win a chase somewhere too. I actually had her half-sister (Twin Plan), she was average for a while as well but ended up winning six. She is related to Valley Henry too, it's a good pedigree. She always had ability but we just weren't getting it right with her. She is in again at Sligo on Wednesday and I'll see what the handicapper does tomorrow before making a decision on that.

Trees Valley She ran well in Cork the last day but got hampered up the straight, she didn't get a clear run and would have finished closer. She is in again on Sunday here and she'll run. It's hard enough to get into races and she was lucky to get in today. She won a point-to-point at Lismore but had been disappointing all her life until now. It's only this year that she seems to be someway right in herself. I always thought a good bit of her but she just disappointed.

Hand In My Pocket her point-to-point form was very good and she was probably unlucky in her point-to-point. She was probably unlucky in a bumper at Musselburgh as she led everywhere bar the post. If Daryl (Jacob, jockey) had known her she probably would have won and the winner came out and won a winners bumper in England. She's not flashy at home but she saves it all for the track and she was good there. I know it was a summer bumper but she was good. The second, third and fourth were all the ones that you'd want to be there, so the form is there. I don't know what we'll do now. She jumps very well so will probably go hurdling. It's great to get that win anyway.
