Kilbeggan Fri, 21st Aug, 2026  Fr Gilligansvoyge I thought it was a bit quick for him, after last week, but we brought him to the strand at Laytown on Wednesday and he absolutely flew up it so we said we’d take our chance again,. The ground changed a lot on him and didn’t really suit him as he wants really good ground. They didn’t go that quick early on and it gave them all a chance. It was great to see, it’s his third win this year. I don’t think there is much rain coming so it might dry up again. We’ll keep him going as long as he’s in good form. There is a race in Ballinrobe for him in about a fortnight’s time. He was placed there before so we’ll try and go there next.

Tramore Fri, 14th Aug, 2026  Fr Gilligansvoyge He was fourth in a Ladies Open in early April and he hasn't been out of the money since,. I bought him as a three-year-old and he's still going strong. I keep telling you lads in the press that we threaten to retire him every year! . He's very quiet to ride and everything. The kids all rode him. One thing that we've done differently this year is that we bring him to Laytown every 10 days or so, and he loves the strand. I hope he stays around forever!

Galway Sat, 1st Aug, 2026  Sarahs Lawn Barry Stone had been riding for me in bumpers and recommended this mare, so we bought her from Benny Walsh. She had some niggly problems after she arrived but the last three weeks have been golden, and I've been happy with her. The boys were shying away from coming to Galway but I could feel her ability at home and it worked out well. The lads (ten-member syndicate from Dungarvan) have just asked is she as good as their other mare Mozzies Sister but I won't go insulting Mozzie just yet. She has big races to win to be as good, but we'll look at the Listed Mucklemeg Bumper (Gowran, November) as a target now and she is a nice filly.

Killarney Fri, 17th Jul, 2026  Unquite Dreams She showed a bit of promise in a bumper in Cork, and it turned out to be a very good race. We gave her a bit of time and waited for a bit of nice ground. She’s after coming on leaps and bounds and I’m thrilled with it. I’m delighted for Padraig Clancy; he’s a good patron of mine and he hasn’t had it easy recently. I was down below and didn’t really see it. When she came past me, we had no hope. To hear she’d won it was actually twice as good.

Downpatrick Sat, 13th Jun, 2026  Fr Gilligansvoyge He was pulling like hell today, he's a bit of an oul rogue and you never know what he is going to do. He's like an old pet and we love him. This will definitely be his last year; we are saying that every year! You couldn't retire him the form he is in, though. I see two horses I sold are after winning in Hexham in the last hour or so.

Punchestown Sat, 6th Jun, 2026  Switch From Diesel He was a bit unlucky the last day in Kilbeggan, it just didn’t work out for him on the night. He’s improved again and he’s a big raw horse, a fine-looking horse. It’s great for the Devine family because they bred him, it makes it even more special as he’s like a member of the family. Geraldine and Nick are delighted. He’s a horse that should keep improving and he’ll have no problem jumping a fence. Ricky said he’s raw, he’s on it and off it, and I’d imagine there is plenty more improvement in him. He won well, handles a bit of nice ground, so we’ll pick our tracks and keep going.

Punchestown Sat, 6th Jun, 2026  Switch From Diesel She’s a lovely filly to have,. The plan after winning her maiden hurdle was to come back here. At this time of year you are trying to pick your tracks and pick your ground, and the ground was beautiful. She’s progressive and we’ll mix it between Flat and jumps. We'll maybe see if there is both a good Flat handicap in her and a good jumping handicap in her. It’s a nice stepping stone again and she’ll probably keep going while the ground is safe. She’s enjoying it. That wasn’t too tough on her, it was like a bit of work. Hopefully she can keep heading in the right direction.

He had a good run in a bumper here as well, when he was second to one of Willie Mullins’ (Caman Eileen). I don’t know if he’ll run again tomorrow, we’ll see. It might be a bit soon. He’s a grand horse for the summer. He’s a smasher. It took us so long to get him right, he got a fall schooling after he won his maiden hurdle. There was lots of chiropractory. Mark Slevin did a great job, we fired his palate and tidied him up as best we could. He looks progressive now, even though he’s an eight-year-old. If we pulled him out tomorrow he could win again!. He’s way better over fences, he’s tricky over hurdles but he’s putting it together now.

Limerick Thu, 21st May, 2026  Zolpharine He is Fairyhill Run's (five-time-winning stablemate) half-brother and is a cracking little horse, but it has taken him a while to win for a second time. He had four 'seconds' last year, so hopefully he might go forward and win a few now. He will keep going through the summer.

Wexford Sat, 16th May, 2026  The Besty Woman I’m delighted for the syndicate as it’s their first horse with us and Conor Hayes recommended the mare to them. John (Gleeson) gave her a super ride and she’s a lovely mare, so there is plenty to look forward to with her. She was made favourite in the end but she had to go and do it and I thought she stuck at it well. I thought John was very positive on her. We’ll give her a break now but we’ll have her back earlier as she definitely prefers a bit of nice ground. She’ll go hurdling, she’s already had a couple of nice runs over hurdles.
