Fairyhouse Thu, 16th Jan, 2025  Find A Fortune we thought Find A Fortune would need the run to be honest and only stuck him in at 9.55am because the race was cutting up. Walking around the ring, he looked big enough for one of ours but it’s great for Aidan (Ryan, owner) who is a big supporter of the yard so it’s nice to get him a winner. He’ll go chasing at some stage, we’ll keep him going as he’ll handle better ground. Heroes Rise wants better ground - he ran well the last day at Thurles but we were worried about the ground for him today.

Limerick Sat, 28th Dec, 2024  I Started A Joke He did well in a schooling race in Tipperary a couple of weeks ago and we always thought he was a nice horse. Jack Bennett had done all the early work and point-to-pointed him, and then we got him. The point-to-point in which he finished fourth has worked out very well and there are a lot of winners from the race. He is a fine horse and is definitely one for the future. I'd say we'll stay in bumpers for now.

Down Royal Thu, 26th Dec, 2024  Big Interest I think he will improve a lot from that - it was his racecourse debut and he's only a five-year-old. He could be (one for Naas in February) and then we will see after that.

Cork Fri, 13th Dec, 2024  Crowsatedappletart roughed up. as he plays Fr Jack Hackett in an upcoming Oscarz fundraiser and reported .the false starts kill Crowsatedappletart as when he is then standing, he lingers a little bit. He was sticky over the first four hurdles today but heated up and those Kerry lads (jockey Brouder) are hard workers! We’re glad to have Gavin as a replacement when our other man Darragh O’Keeffe isn’t available.

Naas Sun, 10th Nov, 2024  Lieutenant Mayne I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when the more fancied ones came out. We fancied him anyway, the form of the Fairyhouse bumper is very good. I shouldn't have run him anyway and he's better than that run. We knew he was a nice horse and anything he was doing in bumpers was going to be a bonus. He jumps super. We don't know where we're going to end up with him but he's certainly a nice horse for the future. We'll go baby steps with him and try to find a novice hurdle, maybe across the water and then step him up in grade. The McNeills and Stones owned him last year, he ran in Greg(Stone)'s colours. They are very easy to train for, they leave it all to me. I'm sure they will be delighted watching it.

Clonmel Thu, 7th Nov, 2024  Mic Drop He won his point to point but was immature and backward and Rob said he has strengthened up well. He is a big horse who is a chaser in the making,. He'll go jumping now, he needs a trip and won his point to point on absolutely bottomless ground. Peter (Tarrant, owner/breeder) is out of the country but we said we'd have one more run in a bumper while there was no Willie Mullins horse in it. This was lovely as, lord have mercy on Peter's father, he was great to me and my father in his time, so it is great to see those colours back in the winner's enclosure. Peter was patient with this horse and had an option to sell but said he'd hold on to him to have some fun. His mother won five races for us but was an inconsistent broodmare although has a two-year-old half-brother by Order Of St George to come.

Clonmel Thu, 7th Nov, 2024  Brave Fortune I thought he was capable of doing that but he has been disappointing,. He appreciates the ground and if the ground stays the way it is, we'll look for the 2m4f winners' of one race at Thurles in the coming weeks: two-and-a-half plus is his trip. He is a lovely big horse who cost a lot of money and we were always hoping he'd do something like that. He will make a nice horse over fences and will go chasing in the spring but won't run on winter ground.

Limerick Sat, 19th Oct, 2024  Crowsatedappletart This horse is very roguey and there are days at home where he'd sulk but today he was looking over the door more than he normally does,. We were beaten 17 lengths the last day in Gowran Park but we were happy enough with him as dwelt a bit at the start and it cost him lengths. I thought his win would come over fences though. He is in at Clonmel on Thursday so we'll see how he is.

Limerick Sat, 19th Oct, 2024  World Of Fortunes She is improving the whole time and there are bright things ahead. Jordan had done a lot of work with her and was brilliant today,. She won her bumper over two (miles), won her maiden over three so is very versatile: anywhere from 2m4f to three miles suits her to a tee. Jordan said she is improving the whole time and is a very exciting mare for the future. She'll now have to be campaigned in those staying novice mares' graded races and I'd say yielding to soft won't be an issue for her, although I'm not sure about any softer. We are a point to point, family-run yard with 20 horses and while this is the only mare we have for the track, it is enjoyable. The lads gave her to me to pre-train so were good enough to leave her, as 95 percent of the yard are either three or four-year-olds. representing
