Building Bridges He sort of makes it hard work for himself as he travels on and off. He's been like that in all his races. Shane thought four furlongs out that he was never going to get there and then he ends up winning a length-and-a-half. He actually makes it look easy in the end. Basically he probably wants up to a mile-and-six and a good galloping track. I don't think ground is any issue. He might have made it easier for himself today if he hadn't stumbled coming out of the stalls. He got caught very wide on the first bend. He is what he is. He's won his maiden now, thank God, and we'll go from there.

Colenso We got him at the sales in Newmarket last year. I knew the minute that I rode him that he wasn't too bad, so we gave him plenty of time. He won alright in Wexford the last day and I was just hoping that he would step up today. I was a bit worried coming down the hill. Danny (Mullins) said he was a bit flat out coming down the hill but once he hit the rising ground he stayed on well. He is still learning the way.

Colenso We were hoping he'd run well. It was his first run in a handicap and he is after having a couple of nice runs in maidens but just wasn't good enough for them. We will get over today before making a plan. Miracle Cure was the last horse the syndicate had and we lost him here last year. The syndicate went to the sales the next week and picked up this lad. My son John does most of the training and we'd mostly have point-to-pointers.
