Limerick Sun, 29th Dec, 2024  Knockbrack Rambler Vincent (O'Connor, from Abbeyfeale) bred him himself and he is a grand old horse. The horse that finished third behind him at Clonmel the last day won yesterday (Beggars Rock in Limerick), so the form is working out well. He is a good, consistent horse, but we were worried that the ground had become tacky although he got through it as he is tough. It's grand to get a Christmas winner.

Thurles Thu, 28th Nov, 2024  Therellbguddaysyet I rode him myself last week when I felt the ground was that bit solid and he wants 2m4f. I was a fraction disappointed, but I minded him once his chance had gone and left him canter home. I was delighted to see Willie's horse (Mullins, Fishery Lane) coming out as he looks a very good horse and I told Darragh to ride him to run well and that we'd take it from there. He is a fierce kind horse who was only broken when he was six and Jack De Bromhead actually rode him when he was a breaker. Jack used to come up to us during the summer and was a wonderful kid - he might be looking down on us today.

Listowel Fri, 27th Sep, 2024  West Clare He didn't come down the hill at Galway and while he flew home, took too long to get rolling. We probably left a few quid behind us that day but it doesn't matter now. He is a seven-year-old but is getting sharper and the penny is starting to drop with him. He is a nice actioned horse so I was worried about the ground and hopefully he will go on from here. His owner Tomas O'Doherty owns the Own Pride Pub in west Clare so we'll be stopping there on the way home!
