Cheltenham Wed, 11th Mar, 2026  King Rasko Grey I looked at the big screen after the race and I couldn’t believe he was 11-1. I thought he was one of ours coming here with a really good chance. You never have a banker coming to Cheltenham, but I thought he would be 2-1 or 3-1 max after his run at the Dublin Racing Festival. I wasn’t tipping him to my friends as I thought he’d be too short for them – they’re all very poor!. I said after the Leopardstown that he would step forward. I thought he was a little short going into that and I expected him to improve. I think Paul chose to ride this horse straight away, there was no debate, and I thought the same – to me this fellow was head and shoulders above a lot of the horses here. It’s great for the Turleys after the disappointment (with Galopin Des Champs) earlier in the week, it’s fantastic for them to have a winner here.

Fairyhouse Sat, 29th Nov, 2025  Jimmy Du Seuil He jumped brilliant, and it looks like he might even be a better chaser than he was a hurdler. He beat them easily. Nick Rockett and I Am Maximus got beat in this beginners’ chase and Impaire Et Passe won it. We always thought he was a Grade 1 horse and hopefully he can make into one. When Danny and Paul were away, I thought I better ride one of them. I have to apologise to Brian Hayes for nicking it on him, I thought he stood out.

Punchestown Sat, 22nd Nov, 2025  Quinta Do Lago I was a little worried that he lacked that bit of experience against horses from the Flat. He looked like he was beaten turning in, but he put his head down and came through a tight gap between horses. He just loves jumping and Donagh said he’s only going to keep on improving. Fair play to the team who have had a lot of patience with him. He had a setback as a two-year-old and it’s all paid dividends now. When the Academy Hurdles came out we said we’re not going to run on the Flat and we’d wait for that. We’ll take baby steps and he may go for a winners of one at Fairyhouse after Christmas. We’re going to aim towards Cheltenham, but we’ll see how he comes out of this first.
