Limerick Thu, 16th Apr, 2026  Fly Away Home She had been ultra-consistent and that's her level. It is great to get it as she was being rewarded for her consistency. The ground and trip suited, and everything was right. She was super fit and had plenty runs. A share of the syndicate were involved in a good horse with me, Cloudy Bays, years ago and while they left me for a few years, they're back again. She wants soft ground so I don't know if she will run again, but to get the win was the main thing. I bred her and had her grandam Barnearrig Lass, who was nearly my first runner (in 1994). She got a 'leg', but afterwards I bred off her as the Pollerton mares were supposed to be good to breed from.

Wexford Fri, 10th Apr, 2026  Ifallgoeswell It's great to get the win with him, he had been very consistent. He had his ground today. We ran him last weekend and the plan wasn't to come back as quick, but this didn't look a great race. We'll tip away with him now.

Thu, 2nd Apr, 2026  Blue Train He is a fine-sized horse but apparently isn't bred to get two miles. The ground isn't bad today, there's no depth to it and actually he ran very well the first day for us,. We were happy with his handicap mark off that Fairyhouse run because he had run too free then, so had the hood on to settle him. He was a bit disappointing on heavy ground afterwards but on this first run (at Fairyhouse), we thought he had every chance today. His owner John Lane, a farmer from Bartlemy near Fermoy, has been with me on-and-off for a long, long time and is involved with his sister and a friend. They had a few quid on each-way, but I don't bet at all. The four-year-olds got 8lb today and he'll tip away in more handicaps now.

Navan Sat, 21st Mar, 2026  Shabby Hill He stayed on great, he is a brilliant jumper. He (jockey Philip Byrnes) kept rowing away, I'd say the ones in front stopped. He got a lovely lead. We didn't know what to expect, so it was a pleasant surprise. You could see him over three miles, he will make a nice chaser. We'll get him home and we'll see where next, he wants a bit of cut.
