FormscanBy Tom Weekes - POSEIDON blundered and unseated rider at halfway at Listowel last month but had previously shown smart chase form and makes his handicap debut from a fair rating. A Grade B-winning hurdler, he was rated 139 in that sphere last winter and while his jumping in a handicap is a small concern, he is nicely treated from 130 with trip and ground in his favour. Admirable mare Bridge Native is 5lbs higher than when winning at Galway latest and has obvious claims under a different 5lbs claimer while another fine servant Abbey Magic was a Galway festival winner in July and while she won this race last year, is rated 11lbs higher and shoulders top weight. The West's Awake, unplaced in the Galway Plate, is capable at this level and while second in a similar race at Killarney latest, would ideally prefer slightly further. One Down ran well on chase debut but was well held at Listowel and makes his handicap chase debut rated 125, 5lbs higher than his current hurdles mark.
