He defied a long lay-off when scoring in great style on his hurdling debut at Tipperary last May so this recent absence doesn't looks a major worry. Chosen Mate won nicely on his first outing for Gordon Elliot at Fairyhouse just over two weeks ago and looks entitled to come on from that run so could be a big player. Stable-mate Tintangle has been Grade 1 placed and ran a decent race last time when third to the exciting Honeysuckle. She looks to have the strongest form in the book and sets the standard in a race that has been won by Elliott for the past three years.
