Formscan By Tom Weekes - Well-bred CARMINA BURANA showed some improvement on a recent course-and-distance run and is a hopeful pick. Out of a sister to Group 1-winner Emulous - the dam of Arc winner Bluestocking, the selection’s form is largely poor but showed a little more on her second all-weather start earlier this month. She met a little trouble in-running then and finished behind Masked Angel, but is 11lb better off with that rival today and might progress some more. Masked Angel sports first-time blinkers while Steel Magnolia tries this surface for just the second time and has useful soft-ground Flat form.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards rated 0-60
