Formscan - Pierian failed in her hat-trick bid in France when stepped up to Listed company but it's way too soon to be writing her off and she's expected to be bang there at the business end dropping back in trip and making her handicap debut. INTO THE LIGHT just edges it, though, as he can be forgiven one mediocre effort in the King George V Handicap at Royal Ascot, with a close-up second to Lost Boys, the subsequent London Gold Cup and Golden Gates winner, at Sandown remaining fresh in the memory. First-time cheekpieces may also help Charlie Appleby's charge, while Silver State is another noteworthy contender.
