Formscan - Albert Einstein was the talking horse going into the Curragh three weeks ago but he fluffed his lines in Listed company and now has something to prove, a remark that doesn't apply to TITLE ROLE, who may represent some value against the Irish raider. He might be able to show the benefit of having wintered in the Dubai sunshine and his form stacks up too, as he beat this week's Newmarket winner and the well-regarded Talk Of New York in the Jumeirah 2000 Guineas at Meydan. It was one race too many for the National Stakes winner Zavateri in the Dewhurst but that was still a creditable effort in fourth and he's noted.

Quotes on Albert Einstein (IRE)
He's very quick. We always thought he was really good but since his first run he's got so quick,. Ryan said they felt like they were only hacking, I don't think you could go fast enough in front of him. Ryan taught him a lot. He waited and got him to relax the best he could and when he came out he said he took a minute to engage. He's a very fast horse. The lads said he was rated an eight as a yearling and that's as high as the rating goes. Obviously as regards physique he's very good and obviously he's by Wootton Bassett. He's been very special in everything he's done. He's 540kg, that's a very big horse and he's only a two-year-old. Ryan rode him in the spring and he started learning very quickly. I think his name was changed three times. Every time we named him Sue (Magnier) maybe thought the name wasn't good enough for him. It's a feeling putting those names on those horses and it's a very difficult thing to do. I wasn't sure what his name was as he was changed so many times. We always thought he was very special and that's obviously why Sue called him that. He's very exciting. The plan was to come here and go to the Coventry. I was worried today because it's so windy and he is so sharp mentally but he had to run. We were hoping it was going to be a strong run race, which I thought it was, but Ryan said he would have preferred them to go faster. If everything goes well I think that's what the lads will do but obviously they'll decide all those things the week before Ascot

Quotes on Alparslan (IRE)
Alparslan is a lovely colt and we purposely left him for this race after he won his maiden. He’d improved a lot on that, and we’ll throw him into black type races now and see how high we can take him. It was the same at Leicester over seven, he was doing his best work at the end. He’s a lovely big colt. He’s workmanlike at home, he’s not a speed horse, but you never know until you get those horses onto the track and see what is under the engine. He could go for the Horris Hill at the backend in Newbury. He obviously handles a bit of cut in the ground as well. there are some great trainers over here and some great horses, but you’ve got to take them on and should never be afraid of getting beat. I don’t understand why a lot more UK trainers don’t give it a go. There is good prizemoney, particularly this weekend. I love travelling horses and like the challenge of taking on the great trainers whether it be here or in France or wherever. It’s all part of life — you have to give it a go.

Quotes on Zavateri (IRE)
he is so straightforward, he is such a dude of a horse and I don’t train him, he trains me. This race just sat right because it was a long way from Goodwood to the Dewhurst. We wanted to find a spot in-between and I didn’t want to go to the Champagne and carry another penalty. He’s already won a Group 2 with a penalty and this is a Group 1, but we are coming into Aidan’s (O’Brien) backyard, although it’s the right spot time-wise for him. He’s come from a long way back on sticky ground, and they have not been finishing from a long way back today. That was pretty impressive I’d say and Charlie has given him a beautiful ride. He’s never been on this ground before; he’s not travelled away overnight before but he’s taken it all in his stride. The trickiest part was saddling him up. That was the most exciting part we had.
