Permission was given for Ride The Thunder (IRE) to go early wearing a red hood to the start; for Tribal Wisdom (IRE) and Son Of Man (IRE) to both wear a red hood to the start.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong involving the winner, Mighty Boy (FR), ridden by Joe Leavy and Londoner (IRE), placed second, ridden by Callum Shepherd.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Mighty Boy (FR)'s placing as despite intimidating Londoner (IRE) off its intended line the gelding appeared to always be holding Londoner (IRE), whose rider never had to stop riding losing no momentum.
With the finishing distance between the two runners being a neck, the Stewards couldn’t be satisfied that Londoner (IRE) would have finished in front of Mighty Boy (FR) with an uninterrupted run to the line and therefore ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
The interference was found to be accidental as Mighty Boy (FR) hung left-handed despite Leavy’s best effort to correct the gelding.
