Permission was given for Parkland (IRE), An Bradan Feasa (IRE), Alpine Stroll (GB), Nibras Gold (IRE) and Gallant Lion (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Approximately 4 furlongs out, An Bradan Feasa (IRE), placed fourth, shifts right-handed causing One Cool Dreamer (IRE), placed fifth, and Alpine Stroll (GB), unplaced, to come together and become unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of An Bradan Feasa (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong when the winner, Amancio (GB), ridden by Edward Greatrex interfered with Nibras Gold (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Hector Crouch.
Greatrex was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed without correction causing Nibras Gold (IRE) to be tight for room against the rail and have to take a check.
The performance of Gallant Lion (GB) which started favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
Ian Williams’s explanation that the gelding was unsuited by the going, officially described as Good, Good to Firm in places, and would prefer a slower surface, was noted.
Following the race, Jason Watson reported that Parkland (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed.
