Shortly after leaving the stalls, Dividend (GB), placed sixth, hung left-handed on to Seraph Gabriel (IRE), placed second, which in turn moved Tilted Kilt (FR), placed fifth, resulting in the rider of Penfolds Grange (GB), unplaced, to have to take a slight check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of any runner.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Dividend (GB), placed sixth, lost its left-hind shoe.
