THE BET £10 GET £40 WITH BETMGM HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4) Permission was given for Maximising (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and for Revolutionise (IRE) to be mounted in the chute.
Toby Moore, the rider of Ultramarine (IRE) had fallen entering the back straight.
The rider was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
It was found that no other horse or rider was involved and was caused by Ultramarine (IRE) sustaining an injury.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final half furlong involving Trouble Man (IRE), placed third, ridden by Jonny Peate, Stenmark (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by William Carson and Beattie Is Back (GB), placed second, ridden by Jack Garritty.
Peate was suspended for 2 days for careless riding, as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed into the whip without sufficient correction causing Carson to take a check on Stenmark (IRE) when tightened for racing room and in turn bump Beattie Is Back (GB), which had its hindquarters turned.
Following the race, William Cox reported that Chifa (IRE), unplaced, was badly hampered by the fall of Ultramarine entering the back straight and Daniel Muscutt reported that Maximising (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run inside the final ½ furlong.
