Permission was given for A Major Payne (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately half a furlong out, involving Atlantis Blue (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Mr Simon Walker and Rising Force (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Mr Henry Callan.
Being a 7lb claimer, Callan was accompanied by a senior rider.
Mr Frederick Tett, the rider of Darvel (IRE), placed third, was interviewed but found not to be involved in the incident.
Mr Walker was cautioned for careless riding, as he had allowed his mount to drift right-handed when insufficiently clear, resulting in Rising Force (IRE) becoming momentarily short for room.
Following the race, Mr Lewis Kent reported that Gunfighter (IRE), unplaced, jumped awkwardly from the stalls and Mr Paul Hainey reported that his saddle slipped approximately two and a half furlongs out on A Major Payne (GB), placed second.
