Permission was given for Abbey Heights (GB) to go early to post; Don Pacifico (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and to be mounted in the chute; and for Hello Zaman (IRE) and Jesse Luc (GB) to both wear a red hood to post.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Do It Now (GB) was a gelding and not a colt as published in the racecard.
Approaching the ½ furlong marker, Jesse Luc (GB), placed third, stepped left-handed at same time as Don Pacifico (IRE), placed second, drifted slightly right-handed, resulting in the rider of Jesse Luc (GB) having to correct his mount, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of either Jesse Luc (GB) or Don Pacifico (IRE).
Following the race, William Buick reported that Hello Zaman (IRE), placed fifth, stumbled leaving the stalls.
