An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start, involving Dark Empress (GB), unplaced, ridden by Jonny Peate and Impulse Buy (GB), unplaced, ridden by Hollie Doyle.
Peate was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he took insufficient steps to prevent Dark Empress (GB) moving to the rail resulting in Doyle having to take a severe check, further causing Impulse Buy (GB) to become unbalanced for a number of strides.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Fulford Cross (GB), unplaced, lost its right-fore shoe; and Darragh Keenan reported that the saddle slipped approximately 4 furlongs from the line on Ottawa (GB), placed third.
