Permission was given for How Impressive (IRE) to go early to post wearing a red hood.
Archie Young, the rider of Callianassa (IRE), placed sixth, beaten by a head for fifth place, had appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Young was suspended for 1 day for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that could have finished fifth.
Inside the final 2 furlongs, Dutch Kingdom (IRE), unplaced, edged slightly right-handed resulting in Callianassa (IRE), unplaced, being briefly short of room and the rider have to take a check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong, involving ZIGGY’S CONDOR (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Oisin McSweeney, Abduction (FR), placed second, ridden by Tom Marquand, How Impressive (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Kevin Stott, and Byzantine Empress (GB), placed third, ridden by Finley Marsh.
McSweeney was suspended for 7 days for improper riding as he had maneuvered right-handed for a run when it should have been obvious that interference would occur, firstly interfering with Marquand, who in turn interfered with Stott, who in turn interfered with Marsh.
Just inside the final furlong, ZIGGY’S CONDOR (IRE), placed fourth, edged quickly right-handed, giving a bump to Abduction (FR), placed second, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
