The Starter reported that Reddeef (IRE) refused to enter the stalls and was withdrawn at 07:03 pm.

Michael Keady was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.

In the early stages of the back straight Optimistic (GB), placed fifth, shifted left-handed while running erratically, tightening Hostility (IRE), placed fourth, for room against the rail on several occasions.

After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

Following the race, Ben Ffrench Davis reported that Optimistic (GB), placed fifth, ran too free.

Race 6 - 7:30pm.

THE CARIBBEAN (IRE), trained by Heather Main, did not enter the parade ring due to the trainer being late to collect the saddle, having attended the winning presentation from the previous race.

An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after leaving the stalls involving ZU RUN, unplaced, ridden by Jack Dace; AMAYSMONT, unplaced, ridden by Donovan Goucher and ROMANOVICH (IRE), unplaced, ridden by William Carson.

Being a 7lb claiming apprentice Goucher was accompanied by a senior rider.

Goucher was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as leaving the stalls he angled his mount right-handed, making contact with and moving ZU RUN right-handed causing Dace to take a check and switch.

This in turn caused ROMANOVICH (IRE) to be carried off his intended line before being switched left-handed by Carson.

Following the race, Joanna Mason reported that CAROLUS MAGNUS (IRE), placed second, hung left- handed.
