Permission was given for Monetize (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood and to be mounted on the chute.
Approaching the final furlong, the winner, Eighth Avenue (IRE), hung left-handed despite the rider’s best efforts to correct his mount, causing the rider of Tanjen (IRE), placed fourth, to ease momentarily on the rail.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Eighth Avenue (IRE).
Following the race, David Allan reported that Tanjen (IRE), placed fourth, ran too free.
