Jumped brilliant, probably could have done with even going half a stride quicker the whole way around. Travelled very well and never missed a beat. He got in tight to a couple, but it was more me trying to restrain him than anything. He's as quick as lightning (jumping), he's unbelievable. He's after growing up an awful lot. He was very keen early on in his career. He's a lot simpler to ride now. Exactly (chasing is his game). That was brilliant, he was good. The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after the second last fence involving Captain Cody, ridden by H

Cobden, placed third, and Ol Man Dingle, ridden by R.A. Doyle, placed fifth, where it appeared there was contact between the two. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. H. Cobden stated that his mount was jumping right and he felt he had the horse to go by when he went down the inner. He added that his mount did not pick up as anticipated. R. A. Doyle stated that he maintained his line but his mount had run his race and rolled around slightly. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found H

Cobden was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended H. Cobden for two race days.
