Approaching 2 furlongs out, Valenday (GB), placed second, hung quickly left-handed causing Fozzie (IRE), unplaced, to be carried left-handed which in turn caused Secret History (IRE), placed third and Infinite Dream (GB), placed fourth, which were both going for the same gap to become unbalanced with both riders taking a slight check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Valenday (GB).
