Permission was given for Solar Aclaim (IRE) to go early to post wearing a red hood; for Gressington (IRE), Flying Fletcher (GB) and Jenever (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Billy Loughnane, the rider of Jungle Land (IRE), drawn 6, had appeared not to keep straight from the stalls.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, the rider was suspended for 1 day.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving Monks Dream (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Sean Kirrane and Jungle Land (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Billy Loughnane.
The interference was found to be accidental as shortly after Jungle Land (IRE) had shifted right-handed when sufficiently clear, the free running Monks Dream (IRE), placed fourth, ran onto heels and stumbled.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 2 furlongs out involving Grant Wood (IRE), placed second, ridden by David Nolan and Monks Dream (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Sean Kirrane.
Nolan was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left-handed when insufficiently clear, causing the rider of Monks Dream (IRE) to take a slight check when crowded for room.
Following the race, Sean Kirrane reported that Monks Dream (IRE), unplaced, ran too free; Oisin Orr reported that Flying Fletcher (GB), unplaced, was denied a clear run continuously from 2 furlongs out; Warren Fentiman reported that Ormolulu (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run from inside the final 2 furlongs.
