The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident after the second last hurdle involving Bon Viveur, ridden by P
Townend, and Open Secret (GB), ridden by J.C. Gainford, where it appeared these horses bumped. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from W.P. Mullins, trainer, following the winning performance of Bon Viveur in this race, which appeared to represent an improvement on its previous run(s). The trainer's representative stated that the step up in trip may have accounted for the improved form. Having liaised with the IHRB Handicapper, the Raceday Stewards considered the report and noted the explanation offered
