The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.W. O'Connor, rider of Brigadier Kakuru, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence from the rider who accepted he moved across but was of the opinion he had not caused any interference, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that D.W. O' Connor was in breach of Rule 211 and in considering his clean record they suspended him for one raceday

Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence from the rider who stated that he was carried across from the horse on his outside, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that R.C. Colgan was in breach of Rule 211 and in considering his clean record they suspended him for one raceday.
