Permission was given for Elizabeth Bay (GB) and Pixie Diva (GB) to both wear a red hood to post.
Approaching the 1 furlong marker, the winner, Fantasy Obsessor (GB), shifted quickly right-handed carrying Pixie Diva (GB), placed third, slightly off its intended line and causing the filly’s rider to take a slight check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Fantasy Obsessor (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1½ furlongs from the line involving Miss Chester, placed fourth, ridden by Rhys Clutterbuck and Darn Hot Time (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Tom Marquand.
Clutterbuck was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left-handed without sufficient correction causing Marquand to have to take a check against the rail.
