Permission was given for Holy Fire (GB) to wear a red hood to the start; for Spirit Of Breeze (IRE) to go early wearing a red hood to the start.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong involving Spirit Of Breeze (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jason Watson; Rockstar Icon (IRE), placed, ridden by Sean Leavy; Holy Fire (GB), placed second, ridden by Kieran Shoemark and Jackson Street (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Paddy Bradley.
Shoemark was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he moved his mount right-handed for a run when insufficiently clear of Jackson Street (IRE), moving the gelding off its intended line and onto Rockstar Icon (IRE) causing Bradley to be checked between those runners.
This further resulted in Leavy being short of room and having to check off the heels of Spirit Of Breeze (IRE) who had stepped marginally left-handed before the gelding being quickly corrected by Watson.
Inside the final ½ a furlong Thomas Equinas (GB), placed third, drifted marginally left-handed at the same time as Twilight Madness (GB), unplaced, moved slightly right-handed, causing Havana Gila (GB) , placed fifth, to be steadied.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Thomas Equinas (GB).
Following the race, Joey Haynes reported that City Of York (GB), unplaced, was never travelling.
Pierre- Louis Jamin reported that Havana Gila (GB) , placed fifth, suffered interference inside the final ½ a furlong.
