Permission was given for Summer Evening (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post, and for Ciotog (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the bend into the home straight, involving Summer Evening (IRE), placed second, ridden by Miss Louise Chance, and Whiteley Way (GB), unplaced, ridden by Mr Harry Brown.
Being 7lb claiming Amateurs, both Mr Brown and Miss Chance were offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.
Miss Chance was suspended for 2 days on dates to be notified by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, for careless riding as she moved left- handed when insufficiently clear, causing Mr Brown to have to take a check.
Following the race, Mr Eireann Cagney reported that Vizzavona Lady (FR), placed fourth, hung left- handed under pressure.
