Permission was given for Fishermans Cottage (GB) to go to post early and for Glamorous Jewel (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
A Lady Forever (GB) appeared to have bitten its tongue in the Parade Ring.
Having been checked by the Veterinary Officer, the mare was deemed fit to race.
The winner, Captain Bentley (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Chepstow on 7 June 2025 where the gelding finished last of eight runners, beaten by seventeen lengths.
It was noted that Michael Mullineaux could offer no explanation for Captain Bentley (GB)'s improved form, other than that the gelding may have been suited by being able to dictate the running on this occasion.
Captain Bentley (GB) was routine tested.
William Carson, the rider of Fishermans Cottage (GB) was unseated.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved, and it was caused by Fishermans Cottage (GB) sustaining an injury.
