Permission was given for Miakoda (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start and for Lady Dorchester (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post wearing a red hood.
Oliver Searle, the rider of Bama Lama (GB), drawn 2, had appeared not to keep straight from the stalls.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, the rider was suspended for 1 day.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving Bama Lama (GB), placed third, ridden by Oliver Searle, Diamond Cottage (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Gina Mangan, and All Too Beautiful (GB), unplaced, ridden by Joe Leavy.
Searle was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed without correction carrying Diamond Cottage (GB) off its intended line which in turn resulted in All Too Beautiful (GB) becoming short of room.
Following the race, Edward Greatrex reported that Oldbury Lad (IRE), placed fifth, was slow into stride.
