Permission was given for MICHAELA’S BOY (IRE) and Kinetic Force (GB) to wear a red hood to post with the latter being mounted in the chute and the former going to post early.
The Starter reported that Kinetic Force (GB), was unruly in the stalls and was withdrawn by the Starter at 6:31pm.
Des Donovan was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
An enquiry was held into the start of this race and the participation of Hi Lord (GB), drawn 3, ridden by Finley Marsh.
The rider and the Starter were interviewed and shown recordings of the start.
The Stewards considered that the gelding was prevented from starting on equal terms, due to the Starter being unaware that as the start was initiated, the rider was unable to regain his stirrups, after the gelding became fractious in the stalls, resulting in Hi Lord (GB) exiting riderless, and therefore ordered that Hi Lord (GB) be declared a non- runner.
