Permission was given for Fifty Nifty (IRE) to go early to post wearing a red hood and for Carbine Harvester (FR) and Trouble Man (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider two pieces of interference in this race involving, Carbine Harvester (FR), placed second, ridden by Cieren Fallon, and the winner, Buccabay (IRE), ridden by Edward Greatrex.
The first of which was approximately one and a half furlongs out and the second approximately half a furlong out.
The first incident was found to be accidental as Carbine Harvester (FR) moved quickly left-handed away from the whip taking Buccabay (IRE) off its intended line.
In the second incident, Fallon was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to continue to drift left-handed without sufficient correction, which ultimately caused Crouch to have to take a check to avoid heels having been taken off his intended line.
Following the race, Finley Marsh reported that Zero Carbon (FR), unplaced, was slowly away.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Fresh (GB), unplaced, had bled from the nose, had an irregular heartbeat and finished lame on its left-hind leg.
