Formscan By John O'Riordan - Successful in the corresponding race 12 months ago, EL CHAMPO(13) can make it back-to-back wins. Having failed to add to that victory in seven subsequent starts, the Philip Rothwell-trained gelding now finds himself back on the same mark as last year. There were definite signs of a revival on his most recent start at Punchestown in June and this is sure to have been a long-term target. Beaten less than a length in this race last year, Talk In The Park is another that will have had it on his radar for some time. First-time blinkers could see the eight-year-old reignited. Killarney third West Away steps up in trip now but has to be a contender if staying.

An extended handicap steeplechase for four years old and upwards that at entry have run at least four times in steeplechases or that have run three times in steeplechases and been placed first, second, third or fourth in a handicap steeplechase (140 = 11st 12lbs)
