2009 Punchestown Festival Preview To Be Screened on TV3 and 3e

A special preview of the 2009 Punchestown National Hunt racing festival will be broadcast on TV3 this Saturday, 25th April at 1.30pm with two repeat screenings, the first following Nightly News with Vincent Browne on Monday night, 27th April with a further chance to see the preview programme on Channel 3e on the first day of the festival, Tuesday, 28th April at 12noon.

Following on from TV3's successful Cheltenham preview, Presenter Denis Kirwan will once again be joined by Ireland's leading racing analyst Donn McClean, by Senior National Hunt Handicapper Noel O'Brien and by Paddy Power, PR Director of Paddy Power Bookmakers, for a one-hour preview of Ireland's premier National Hunt racing festival.

"Punchestown is one of Ireland's best-loved tracks and historic racing venues and the preview programme will take a look at what makes the Irish National racing festival so special and previews five days of high quality racing action. The show will feature visits to English trainer, Nicky Henderson, who is bidding to win the top three prizes at the festival and to home trainers Tommy Cooper and Oliver Brady as they prepare their charges for Punchestown" said Stephen Cullinane, Producer, Touchline Media.

Fashion judge Bairbre Power visits the Whitewater Centre in Newbridge and offers advice and tips on how to win the Newbridge Silverware Best Dressed Lady prize valued at ?50,000, while Dick O'Sullivan from Punchestown will bring viewers behind the scenes at the festival.
