25 non-runners at Tipp The testing ground has had a severe effect on the action at Tipperary this afternoon with 25 non-runners all due to the change in going. The Group 3 Coolmore Stud Home Of Champions Concorde Stakes has been reduced to a seven runner affair with Dandy Boy, Six Of Hearts, Face Reality and One Spirit all coming out. The Grade 2 Friends Of Tipperary Hurdle is the feature on the jumping section of this “Super Sunday” eight race mixed card, and Captain Cee Bee, Baracas and Catch The Moment have been taken out to leave six runners. Steps To Freedom is among three non-runners in the Grade 3 Dolores Purcell Memorial Novice Hurdle, along with Eightbarackstreet and Kalann, while Far Away So Close and Granaruid will not line-up in the other Grade 3 contest, the Like A Butterfly Novice Chase. The going is described as heavy on the Flat course, and soft for the National Hunt action. Clerk Of The Course Paddy Graffin said, "Like alot of the country, there has been significant rain here over the past few days. About 30mm has fallen in total including 7mm overnight and this morning. The weather seems to be clearing up now but it will be testing ground." Alan Magee
