26,572 attendance on Kerry National day A tremendous attendance of 26,572 turned up at Listowel yesterday for the feature race of the seven day Festival, the Guinness Kerry National. The crowd figure was just marginally down (1.5%) on the same day 12 months ago of 26,994. The “Kerry National” day is traditionally the point where attendance and betting really go up a gear at the meeting. However the betting and crowd figures (detailed below) for the opening four days can only be described as modest.
