3 Day Suspension For Ruby Walsh

Ruby Walsh was suspended for three days by the stewards at Ascot on Saturday after an incident on the final bend in the closing EBF Princes Trust NH Novices´ Hurdle.

Walsh, on Manly Money, was adjudged to have caused interference to Thieves´glen, whose rider David Dennis was unseated when the horses clipped heels.

The stewards found that the interference was caused by careless riding in that Walsh allowed his horse to hang in on the bend without taking corrective action early enough.

They suspended him on January 21, 22 and 23, which includes Thyestes Chase day at Gowran Park.
