7-Up Takes O'Connor to 105 Derek O'Connor's score for the 2008/09 point-to-point season now stands at an unbelievable 105 after the Galway man partnered seven winners over the weekend with the magic century being achieved at the Fermanagh Hunt meeting at Necarne on Friday night aboard a horse called Greenandredparson in the older geldings maiden. The record breaking multiple champion said on Monday morning: "The hundredth winner was on a horse for Jason Titley called Greenandredparson. They decided to travel up with this lad and the long journey North paid off thank God. "I had a double that evening, the other one was for a good friend of ours here at home, John Howley and that one (Deer Island Peg) was trained by Brian Hassett. We had a smashing evening and it was a bit special because John would be a great friend of ours here at home. "There are only two weeks left of the season, one meeting next weekend and then there is three the following weekend to finish it off so there are four race-days really over two weekends. We'll be hanging up our boots for the summer then I'd say. "I had a couple of winners on Saturday in Necarne as well for Northern trainers (Liam Lennon and Ian Duncan) but we made the most of our celebrations on Friday night as we had to get back to brass tacks for Saturday, but it was grand. "I was back home on Saturday night and then down to Bartlemy yesterday where I rode three winners, one for Michael Griffin, one for Robert Tyner and the last one for David Slattery."
