The Listowel Harvest Festival runs this year from Sunday 21st to Saturday 27th September, 2025 and is a fusion of glamour, festivities, music, entertainment and of course top-class flat and jump racing. Like all major Irish racing festivals, it draws huge crowds from far and wide, with an action-packed programme both on and off the course and in the town of Listowel. Where is the Listowel Harvest Festival? Listowel is a heritage market town in County Kerry, one of Ireland's richest tourist attractions. Dubbed the 'Literary Capital of Ireland' a number of internationally known playwrights and authors have lived there, including John B. Keane. Listowel Racecourse is one of the jewels in the crown of rural Ireland. It hosts nine race meetings every year, divided into a two-day fixture in June and the renowned seven-day Listowel Harvest Festival in September. The racing highlight of the Harvest Festival is the Kerry National, a fiercely-competitive handicap chase that has grown into a highly-valuable contest. Day 1 - Sunday 21st September The feature race is the Kerry Dairy Ireland Handicap Steeplechase of €45,000 as the meeting gets underway with a Day 2 - Monday 22nd September The feature race on Monday is the John McGuire Handicap of €45,000. Day 3 - Tuesday 23rd September Listowel Races are delighted to announce that Presenter, Creator and Franc James founder, former Love Island contestant Frankie Foster, along with the Raceday TV team, will be broadcasting from the Races on both Tuesday and Wednesday respectively. Day 4 - Wednesday 24th September The Guinness Kerry Grand National Handicap Steeplechase of €200,000 is the jewel of the Festival - an electric, edge-of-your-seat race that has punters holding their breath right up to the final furlong.
