Ayr goes ahead This afternoon's meeting at Ayr goes ahead as planned after the track was declared fit to race. Clerk of the course Emma Marley had planned to inspect at 7.30am but she was able to give the thumbs-up earlier than planned after just four millimetres of rain overnight. She tweeted: "Racing goes ahead. Heavy, soft in places - 4mm overnight, showers until 9am. Wintry showers during racing from 3pm so will monitor."
