Ballinrobe plays host to an eight-race card on Tuesday evening with the full track extension coming into use for the first time.

The feature race on the programme is the Eamon Sheridan Opportunity Handicap Hurdle, and Elsie is the stand-out name with Jonathan Burke taking the ride on the Tom Mullins-trained seven-year-old.

This daughter of Milan won her maiden hurdle in convincing style on her last outing at Punchestown and she can be expected to go close now on her handicap debut. King High was just beaten over fences at Downpatrick recently and he should give a good account, while Fethard Player and the Stephen Mahon-trained Aranhill Chief are others to consider.

Mahon, who has an excellent record at the Co Mayo venue, is represented by Lost Book in the John Madden & Sons Handicap Hurdle.

The daughter of Oscar won over the course on her penultimate start and looks to have solid claims. Noble Call who has a course and distance win to his name, appears a big danger, while handicap debutant I'lltakeitfromhere, and the Paul Flynn trained Seeyouallincoppers are others that warrant consideration.

Mahon has Mon Carlos in the second division of the Audi Ballina Ballinrobe Opportunity Handicap Hurdle.

This seven-year-old gelding wasn't beaten far on his last start at Clonmel and in what looks a wide-open contest he should run well. Leibniz who attempts to follow up on his win at Down Royal on Friday under a mandatory 6lb penalty, carries top weight of 12st 2lb and is sure to have plenty of supporters. Res Ipsa Loquitur looks the one to side with in the first division. She is on a retrieval mission after disappointing when sent off favourite on her last start at Downpatrick. San Gabriel gets the nod in the opening contest, the Mulholland Bookmakers Maiden Hurdle, while Oscar Vespasian is one to be with in the other hurdle on the card, the Ladies Day At Ballinrobe Maiden.

Two bumpers round off proceedings with Lady In Motion the selection in the first one, the Family Day 22nd July (Mares) (Pro/Am) Flat Race, while the Willie Mullins trained Rolihlahla looks the safest option in the finale, the Find Us On Facebook (C & G) (Pro/Am) Flat Race.
