Bargain buy Doyen Magic makes all under Robinson Back over flights for the first time since May, Doyen Magic made all in the Panoramic Restaurant @Limerick Races Mares Handicap Hurdle. The winner of a point-to-point when in the care of Ellen Doyle and subsequently trained by Paul Nolan and Jonjo O'Neill, the bay six-year-old has proved a shrewd purchase by current connections. Successful over fences at Killarney in July and sent off a 4/1 joint-favourite (touched 13/2) this afternoon, the 87-rated victor was briefly challenged before two out. Soon going on again, she ultimately came home four-lengths to the good under Dylan Robinson, who donned the silks of the Curb Your Enthusiasm Syndicate. A sister to Nick Rockett, Music Of Life (5/1) filled the runner-up spot, while Classy Cc (20/1) was another five-and-a-half lengths back in third. Eoin McCarthy's She's On Line was the other joint-favourite and she finished a disappointing seventh. "She has been a bargain buy and was one I had seen and followed," Rothwell explained. "I saw her in the broodmare sale in the UK, so asked a friend Joe Foster to just go and buy her as she wouldn't be dear. She cost just 2,500 pounds and has now won twice for us. "I had seen here running some nice races in Ireland on summer ground before going to England. I follow a lot of the ex-pointers and horses-in-training, as that's my job, and I now stay away from ex-Flat horses. I'm trying to find an angle to just win races." He added: "I met her owners, who are from Sligo and Mayo, at Downpatrick one day where they asked me to look out for a fun horse. I found this one to lease to them and next, she'll go back over fences here at Christmas." STEWARDS REPORTS * The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined She's On Line, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be sore on the right hind having sustained a wound. * Michael Kenneally, rider of Run For The Border, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not handle the ground.
