Bear Cheek supplemented for Cheveley Park Ger Lyons and owners Qatar Racing have opted to supplement Bear Cheek for the Connelly's Red Mills Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday. A winner of a Curragh Group Three last month, the Kodiac filly was last seen finishing a close-up fourth in the Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster. Lyons' compatriot Aidan O'Brien goes to the well with Alice Springs, who was not far away in the Moyglare at the Curragh a fortnight ago. William Haggas' Besharah is ante-post favourite for the Group One over six furlongs after she easily claimed the Lowther at York last month. Runner-up that day was Lumiere, who renews rivalry in the Cheveley Park for the Mark Johnston team. Illuminate, who defeated Besharah in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket in July, is also prominent in the betting as she defends a three-race unbeaten record. Sunflower, Rebel Surge and Shadow Hunter complete the line-up in a typically strong renewal.
