The quality of racing in France this weekend is quite extraordinary, and when you top the prize money on offer, you understand why, when Arc weekend takes place, those around the sport stop and take notice. There is a tremendous vibrancy and good atmosphere around the weekend, and it looks set to be another show-stopping two days, with the biggest names in owners, trainers and jockeys, along with their horses, all in attendance.

It is another important weekend for the O'Brien team in their racing calendar, and although we thought in the Irish St Leger we saw the end of Scandinavian's season, he has once again shown his appreciation for racing and will be seen again in the Prix du Cadran. He'll have support from the Ballydoyle contingent this weekend as the team from Ballydoyle look to cap off another exciting weekend of racing.

Ahead of the weekend, Stable representative Chris Armstrong on Aidan's Saturday runners in France: "It is a busy time of year, but it is a great time of year. We are also fortunate to have the horses to run in the races.

"Although there's only about six weeks of the season left, there's big races every week.

"Obviously, Scandinavia is the main one there tomorrow. He just keeps raising the bar and long may it continue. Great to have Queenstown in there. He's like a stable favourite; he's one of the oldest horses we have. Last year, Group One-placed twice and ran a cracker behind Scandinavia in the Irish St Leger (second), so he's a great ride for Wayne (Lordan).

"Amelia Earhart showed more of her true potential last time in the St Leger (third), so she is back to fillies' only in the Group One Prix De Royallieu, the mile and six and the slight ease in the ground will suit her, and she goes there with a live chance."
